About Our Clinic

At Elevation Vision, we believe great eye care starts with knowing you. We're a family-owned practice right here in Castle Rock, founded and run by two optometrists who happen to be married—and a team that treats every patient like a neighbor.

Eye care has been part of Dr. Garrett Moen's life for as long as he can remember. A second-generation optometrist, Garrett has been around the practice since he was 14 years old, learning the craft from the ground up. His wife and partner, Dr. Emily Lemburg, found her own path into optometry in an optical during college, where she fell in love with helping people see and feel their best—an experience that inspired her to become a doctor herself. Together, Garrett and Emily own and operate Elevation Vision as equal partners, sharing every decision and building the practice around the kind of personal, attentive care they'd want for their own family.

We're also delighted to have recently welcomed Dr. Theresa Hoang to our team. Theresa completed a residency in ocular disease and surgical management, bringing advanced training and a deep commitment to her patients' long-term eye health. She also recently celebrated a joyful milestone of her own—the birth of her first child. Between the three of us, our doctors share nearly 50 years of combined experience, and every bit of it goes into the care you receive.

Why Our Approach Is Different

A lot of eye exams today feel like an assembly line—in the chair, read the letters, out the door. We deliberately run our office differently.

It starts before you ever arrive. Our team has already reviewed your history, your insurance, and anything from your last visit that needs follow-up, so your appointment time is spent on you—not paperwork. And because we're a stable, doctor-owned practice with the same three optometrists year after year, you'll always see a familiar face. There's no rotating providers and no retelling your story to a new doctor every year; the doctor who knows your eyes is the one sitting across from you.

During your exam, we don't just check whether you can see 20/20—we evaluate the health of your eyes inside and out, because serious conditions like glaucoma and diabetic eye disease often develop silently. We also bring the latest technology into both our clinic and optical, giving us a clearer, more complete picture of your eye health at every visit.

We don't shy away from the hard cases, either. Patients who've been told they "can't wear contacts," complicated prescriptions, irregular corneas, and stubborn dry eye are some of our favorite problems to solve. And when you leave, you'll understand what we found, what it means, and exactly what comes next.

One more thing that sets us apart: our on-site lab. For single-vision prescriptions, we can often craft your glasses the very same day—so many patients walk in needing new glasses and walk out already seeing clearly.
From routine exams to the most complex cases, we've built Elevation Vision to be the kind of practice your family can count on for years to come

Comprehensive Eye Exams

Far more than a vision check, our comprehensive exams evaluate the health of your eyes inside and out, screening for conditions that often develop silently. You'll leave understanding exactly what we found and what comes next.

Why Is Vision Care Important?

Your eyes do far more than simply help you see—they shape how you experience the entire world. An estimated 80% of everything you perceive comes through your vision, while all your other senses combined—hearing, touch, taste, and smell—account for only the remaining 20%. Your eyes are, quite literally, your primary window to the world around you.

That connection runs deep into the brain. Roughly half of all the neurons in your brain are linked to the visual cortex, the region responsible for processing what you see. In other words, healthy eyes aren't just about clear sight—they're tied directly to how your brain takes in and makes sense of information. Happy eyes mean a happy brain.

This is why vision care reaches into nearly every part of daily life. Clear, comfortable vision affects how efficiently you work, how safely you drive, and how well children learn and develop in the classroom. When your eyes are strained, fatigued, or unable to focus properly, everything from productivity to safety to quality of life can suffer—often without you realizing the cause.

Regular eye care protects more than your eyesight. It safeguards your independence, your performance, and your overall well-being. By caring for your vision today, you're investing in how fully and confidently you'll engage with the world for years to come.

Why Do I Need Vision Care When I Don't Have Any Issues?

Because the most damaging eye diseases are also the quietest ones. Glaucoma can permanently destroy peripheral vision before you notice a single symptom. Diabetic eye disease and macular degeneration often begin with changes only visible during a dilated exam. Even in healthy eyes, prescriptions drift gradually enough that many people never realize how much sharper their world could be until we show them. A comprehensive exam takes about an hour once a year. It is a small investment to catch problems while they're still easy to treat, establish a healthy baseline we can compare against over time, and make sure you're seeing as well as you possibly can. You change the oil before the engine fails; your eyes deserve at least that much.

"What a wonderful experience. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Emily took the time with me to help me with my issue. Elevation Vision is now my go-to. Thank you to all of them!"

"What a gem of a find! We recently took the whole family for eye exams here, and they were good with all of the ages, even the youngest ones. They have some pretty cool equipment, so you don’t have to get your eyes dilated. They can make the glasses in-house with their edger the same day if they have the lenses in stock. The doctors and staff are so friendly. I highly recommend checking them out."

Heather H.

"This place was recommended to us when we moved to Parker a few years ago. Now my entire family sees Dr. Lemburg and Dr. Moen. They are both great — especially with my chronic dry eyes!"
